I saw my first major league game in 1941. The Cubs(my team) played the New York Giants. The Giants featured Phil Weintraub, Sid Gordan, Goody Rosen, Harry Feldman, et al. At that time, New York had a large Jewish population and the Giants had to show a team with enough Jewish players to draw their crowds. Several years ago, Baseball Digest listed an all Jewish team, by positions. I could not believe the 2nd baseball listed was Rod Carew. Al Rosen was at 3rd base.
